On February 18, 2026, the Media and Entertainment Club, in collaboration with the Office of Academic Administration, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “Valentine’s Day” Mascot Costume Design Competition and VTuber Showcase. The event provided students from the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) with hands-on learning experiences through three activity stations as follows:

  • Station 1: Participants learned the fundamentals of character rigging, including adding structural frameworks and control points (Rig Model), as well as basic usage of Live2D for creating two-dimensional virtual character models. The session was conducted by Ms. Panlapas Keerin, a second-year student in the ICT International Program and Vice President of the club.
  • Station 2: This station introduced the use of Live2D models for creating content as a Virtual YouTuber (VTuber), including integration with the Unity program. Participants also had the opportunity to try a sample game. The session was led by Mr. Atigun Kerdbourpatch, a second-year ICT International Program student and the club’s Treasurer.
  • Station 3: Participants learned how to use OBS Studio for screen recording and live streaming, alongside content creation using a Virtual YouTuber character. Mr. Piyapong Pongruang, a second-year ICT International Program student and President of the club, provided guidance on program setup, necessary equipment preparation, and conducted a hands-on workshop enabling participants to create their own VTuber content.

In addition, the event featured a Speed Design Mascot Competition, where contestants were required to create a mascot design within 15 minutes. Participants then shared feedback, and the final results were determined by the club’s committee panel. The event was held in Room IT331, 3rd floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
