On September 9, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), was invited to serve as the host faculty for the presentation of research and innovation at the Innovation Showcase. The showcase brought together Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of ICT Mahidol; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchaya Damrongsri from the Faculty of Dentistry and project lead for “AI-assisted caries annotation on panoramic radiographs of a dental hospital”; and members of the ICT Mahidol executives and faculty members, including Professor Dr. Peter Haddawy, Global Talent Professor; Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mores Prachyabrued, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Game Technology and Gamification. Together, they presented a selection of the Faculty’s outstanding research and innovation projects.
The event was attended by Dr. Sarayuth Saengchan, Vice President for Finance, and Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, M.D., Vice President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Mahidol University, along with university executives and staff members from various units across Mahidol University, who joined the presentations and visited the showcased projects at IDEA SPACE, on the 1st floor of the Office of the President Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
ICT Mahidol showcased seven research and innovation projects, highlighting the Faculty’s strengths in research, technology development, and the application of knowledge to real-world challenges in healthcare, education, and industry. The showcased projects included:
- MU Health Data Lake & AI Playground: A Foundation for Reproducible, Multimodal AI in Thai Healthcare and Well-Being
- AI-assisted Caries Annotation on Panoramic Radiographs of a Dental Hospital
- SIRcraft: No-Code Disease Modeling
- Hearing Test Application
- Mixed Reality for Group-Based, Integrated Instruction of Anatomy, Pathology, and Physical Examination

The Innovation Showcase, organized by the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), Mahidol University, serves as a rotating platform for faculties and institutes across the University to present notable innovations, research, and technologies with potential for real-world application and commercial development.
ICT Mahidol’s participation in the showcase provided an important platform to highlight the Faculty’s research and innovation capabilities across artificial intelligence, digital technologies, healthcare, education, and industrial applications. The event also fostered knowledge exchange and strengthened connections among units within Mahidol University, supporting the further development and wider application of research and innovation for real-world impact.
