On September 9, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, a faculty member in the Computer Science Academic Group, in collaboration with the IoTProto Club, organized the activity “AI-Powered IoT Innovation: Turning Real-World Problems into Competition-Ready Solutions.” The activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of how artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) can be applied to develop solutions that address real-world problems and further evolve into innovative projects for technology competitions. The activity featured Mr. Sawangpong Muadphet, an Embedded Systems Expert and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Komomi Co., Ltd., who shared his knowledge and experience in developing AI-powered IoT innovations. He also introduced key factors in designing and developing practical solutions that can be effectively applied in real-world contexts. The session was organized for students from the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) in Room IT204, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The activity provided participants with broader perspectives on integrating AI, IoT, and Embedded Systems into the innovation development process, from problem analysis and data-driven decision-making to the design and development of solutions that can be tested, further enhanced, and prepared for presentation in technology and innovation competitions.
