ICT Mahidol Organized ICT Summer Camp 2026 to Enhance Technology, Innovation Thinking, and Teamwork Skills for High School Students

From May 30 to June 1, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the ICT Student Association, organized ICT Summer Camp 2026 for approximately 50 high school students interested in information technology at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University.

The opening ceremony was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, who welcomed the participants and officially opened the camp at Bits & Bytes Hall. The activity aimed to inspire students and provide them with hands-on experiences in IT through a variety of practical learning activities, while also introducing them to technology-related study pathways at the Faculty of ICT.

Throughout the three-day camp, students participated in activities designed to promote learning in technology, innovation thinking, and teamwork. These included ice-breaking activities, team-building activities, group activities, project idea development activities, as well as academic and hands-on sessions such as Problem & Innovation Thinking Session, What Technology Can Do & Requirement Engineering Workshop, Board Game Activity, and AI System Design and Implementation Session. These activities allowed students to practice analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving, innovation design, and the application of technology in developing basic project prototypes.

In addition, students participating in ICT Summer Camp 2026 joined a Campus Tour to explore the atmosphere of Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, and learn more about the learning environment of the Faculty of ICT, as well as the facilities related to studying and student life at the university.

Each activity session was organized by senior students from the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The senior students played an important role in supervising, guiding, and sharing their learning experiences in information technology and digital technology with the participants. They also helped create a fun and friendly learning atmosphere that encouraged students to express themselves, exchange ideas, and work collaboratively with others.

On the final day of the camp, students presented project ideas developed from what they had learned throughout the program. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, served as a committee member, providing guidance and constructive feedback on the students’ work to help them further develop their ideas in technology and innovation in a practical manner.

Following the project presentations, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, introduced the Faculty of ICT’s academic programs, providing students with information on study pathways, skill development opportunities, and future career prospects. The event concluded with closing remarks by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, who also presented awards to outstanding projects at the Grand Auditorium.
