On June 2, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Science, and Head of the Medical Informatics Research Clusters (MI) and Machine Vision and Information Transfer (MVIT) research group, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), received the Companion (Fourth Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn for Outstanding Researcher 2025. The ceremony was held before the royal portrait of His Majesty the King at the Press Conference Room, 1st Floor, Phra Chom Klao Building, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Yothi.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presided over the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, delivered the official report and announced the names of the recipients during the ceremony.
