On August 5, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “Welcome Party” to welcome newly enrolled international undergraduate and graduate students for the 2026 academic year. The students came from a diverse range of countries, including the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the People’s Republic of China, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, the United Mexican States, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the Kingdom of Norway, and the United States of America.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development; and Mr. Stephen Edward Smith, International Student Recruitment and Alumni Engagement Manager. They welcomed the new students and facilitated activities designed to help participants become familiar with one another and foster a collaborative learning environment. In addition, two international students—one second-year student and one third-year student—from the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) shared their experiences of studying, adapting to university life, and living on campus with the new students. The event was held in Rooms IT405–406, 4th Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The “Welcome Party” was organized to provide international students with a warm and memorable welcome as they begin their academic journey at ICT Mahidol. The event also provided opportunities for students to get to know one another and strengthen their relationships through various activities, while gaining information about academic guidelines and becoming acquainted with the Faculty’s administrators, instructors, and staff members, who are committed to providing guidance and support throughout their studies. The activity aimed to support students in adapting to university life, achieving academic success, and making the most of their experience at ICT Mahidol.
