ICT Mahidol Organized “Fundamentals of Business Process Management” Training Program, Batch 2

On April 25, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized “Fundamentals of Business Process Management” Training Program, Batch 2. The program featured Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisupa Palakvangsa Na Ayudhya, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group and the Software Engineering and Business Analytics (SEBA) Research Cluster, who shared her knowledge and expertise in Business Process Management with interested participants via Microsoft Teams.

The training covered essential topics in Business Process Management (BPM), beginning with the fundamentals of BPM and its importance to organizational strategy, an understanding of business process concepts, the value chain, and value creation processes. Participants also learned about the six stages of the BPM life cycle, as well as approaches to identifying, selecting, and prioritizing business processes. In addition, participants were introduced to Signavio Process Modeler and engaged in hands-on practice in creating an As-Is Process Map based on the BPMN 2.0 standard. The training also included process analysis using the concepts of Waste and Root Cause Analysis, as well as the application of The Devil’s Quadrangle to balance key factors in designing more efficient business processes.

The “Fundamentals of Business Process Management” training program aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of systematic business process management. It also equipped them with the ability to analyze, design, and improve work processes effectively, while enabling them to apply the knowledge, concepts, and tools gained from the program to business operations, organizational management, or the professional development of their own work processes.
