From 25–27 May 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a workshop program entitled “Enhancing Faculty Member Competencies in Digital Technology and Nursing Data Management” for faculty members and staff from the Division of Community Health Nursing, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Karn Chaladthanyagid, Head of the Division of Community Health Nursing, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. The workshop was held at the Computer Laboratory, 3rd Floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building.
The workshop featured faculty members from the Faculty of ICT as instructors, who shared knowledge and practical experience in information technology through a series of hands-on training sessions on the following topics:
- From May 25 – 26, 2026, the workshop on “Nursing Data Management and Analysis Using Excel” was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems. The training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in managing, analyzing, and presenting nursing data using Excel and Power Query. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including data preparation and structuring using Excel, designing data structures suitable for nursing tasks, data summarization and visualization using Pivot Tables and charts, data importing using Power Query, data cleansing, data transformation, and data analysis integrated with Excel. In addition, participants engaged in hands-on practice to apply these tools more effectively in teaching and learning for nursing students, as well as in academic and professional nursing practices.
- On May 27, 2026, the workshop entitled “AI Applications for Nursing Practice” was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant to the President for Research, Mahidol University, and Instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group. The workshop aimed to promote participants’ knowledge and skills in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to practical work situations. The training covered various topics, including fundamental AI concepts presented in an accessible manner for participants without technical backgrounds, the application of AI to support work analysis and planning, the use of AI to reduce operational time, and hands-on practice through real-world case studies to enhance work efficiency and communication in the digital era.
The ICT training program was organized to enhance knowledge and understanding of digital technology and nursing data management among faculty members and staff in the Division of Community Health Nursing. The program also aimed to strengthen practical skills in the appropriate and secure use of digital tools and data analysis, as well as to promote the effective application of digital technology in teaching and learning, research, and professional nursing practice.
