On March 18, 2026, the Cybersecurity Club of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a special lecture and hands-on workshop titled “Real-World Cybersecurity Without Filters.” The event aimed to broaden perspectives and enhance learning experiences in cybersecurity for first- to fourth-year undergraduate students from the Bachelor of Science programs in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The event was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and advisor to the club, who delivered the opening remarks. The session was conducted by Mr. Pakkaphan Permvanitkul, a fourth-year student in the Digital Science and Technology program (DST Thai Program) and President of the Cybersecurity Club, and was held at Computer Laboratory IT105, 1st floor, ICT Mahidol, Salaya Campus.
This event was honored by guest speakers from KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), including Mr. Nuttakorn Tungpoonsup, Head of Security Validation Engineer, and Mr. Waris Damkham, Offensive Security Engineer and an ICT alumnus (Batch 18). The speakers shared their expertise on fundamental cybersecurity principles and conducted a hands-on workshop reflecting real-world cybersecurity practices in large organizations. They also shared professional experiences, providing students with valuable insights into real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of the cybersecurity profession, strengthening analytical and problem-solving skills, and enabling them to effectively apply the acquired knowledge to their academic and future career paths.
