On November 3, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and instructor of ITCS464 Advanced Cybersecurity, organized a special lecture on “SOC, SIEM, SOAR, and Incident Response.” The session featured Mr. Sumedt Jitpukdebodin from Secure D Center Co., Ltd. as the guest speaker, who shared his expertise and practical experience in cybersecurity with fourth-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program). The lecture took place in Room IT323, 3rd Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The lecture aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of cyber threat detection, analysis, and response, focusing on the application of Log Analysis and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to identify anomalies and potential cyber threats. It also explored the use of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) technologies to improve the efficiency of cybersecurity incident management and response. Through insights into real-world cybersecurity operations in organizational settings, the session provided students with valuable practical perspectives and helped prepare them for future careers in information technology and cybersecurity.
