On July 23, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized its New Student Orientation and Meet-the-Executives Session for Parents for Academic Year 2026 at the ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. The event aimed to prepare new students for university life and familiarize them with the academic system and essential study guidelines. The event was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, together with faculty members and staff from the Office of Academic Administration, all of whom warmly welcomed the new students. In his welcoming remarks, the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs encouraged the students to strive for academic excellence and continuously develop their knowledge, skills, and potential to become competent information technology professionals in the future.
The New Student Orientation Ceremony was held at the Grand Auditorium on the 4th floor and was divided into two sessions. The morning session was organized for new students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), while the afternoon session was arranged for new students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). Both sessions were honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Curriculum Development, together with members of the respective program committees, who welcomed the new students and provided important information on the curriculum structures, teaching and learning approaches, academic planning, as well as guidelines for studying and student life at the Faculty. In addition, members of the Faculty’s Student Association also welcomed the new students and introduced co-curricular student activities. These activities were intended to help students become familiar with their new environment, adapt effectively, prepare themselves for university life, and begin their academic journey with confidence.
On the same occasion, the Faculty organized a Meet-the-Executives Session for the parents of new students from both programs at Bits & Bytes Hall on the fourth floor. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, delivered welcoming remarks and provided an overview of the programs, teaching and learning approaches, student support and services, and other important information for parents. The session aimed to strengthen parents’ confidence in the Faculty and enhance mutual understanding, thereby fostering collaboration in supporting students’ academic success throughout their studies.
The event provided new students with essential information about their studies, including relevant rules and regulations, as well as guidance on adapting to academic and campus life at ICT Mahidol and Mahidol University while upholding integrity and ethical conduct. It also supported the development of students’ academic knowledge and professional skills, preparing them to become graduates whose qualities align with the philosophy, aspirations, and vision of the Faculty of ICT and Mahidol University. In addition, the event provided an important opportunity for new students, parents, faculty members, and staff to become acquainted and build positive relationships. These connections will serve as a strong foundation for supporting students’ learning experiences and university life, enabling them to pursue their studies with confidence, happiness, and success.
