ICT Mahidol Welcomed OBEC Delegation and Distinguished Guests from Shanxi Province, People’s Republic of China, for Academic Collaboration Discussion

On March 23, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research, and Dr. Kanoksak Wattanachote, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and distinguished guests from educational institutions in Shanxi Province, People’s Republic of China. The visit, which aimed to foster academic collaboration, took place at the IT404 Meeting Room, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The visiting delegation participating in the academic collaboration meeting comprised executives and staff members from educational institutions and relevant organizations in the People’s Republic of China, including:

The meeting focused on discussing potential areas of collaboration, including academic staff exchange, curriculum development, possible operational directions, and partnership models to support further educational opportunities in Shanxi Province. The discussion also covered resource-sharing opportunities between the two parties to further strengthen long-term academic collaboration.

Following the meeting, Dr. Pisit Praiwanatana, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication and Media Technology, led the delegation on a visit to the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU Lab). The visit was hosted by Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, Global Talent Professor, who provided an overview of the laboratory’s operations and research activities. The delegation also visited the Faculty’s Smart Classroom to exchange perspectives on teaching and learning management.
