The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) extends its congratulations to Ms. Suphatchaya Aichum, a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), on successfully presenting her research in an online session at the 14th International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON 2026). The conference was organized by the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Kasetsart University, Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering Academic Association (Thailand), and was held in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, from March 4 – 6, 2026.
At the conference, the student presented her research titled “Drone Detection and Alert System Utilizing Audio Embeddings and Generative AI,” which focuses on the development of a drone detection and alert system through the application of audio embeddings and generative AI technologies. The research demonstrates significant potential for supporting security monitoring and surveillance applications.
In addition, the research reflects the academic strength and international collaboration between the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University, and the Osaka Institute of Technology, Japan. The research team consisted of:

The research accomplishment resulted from the student’s participation in a summer internship at the Osaka Institute of Technology, Japan, which provided her with the opportunity to exchange academic knowledge and learning experiences with Japanese students. The internship was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shigeru Kashihara and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth.
This achievement marks another source of pride for the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), which remains committed to developing students with global competencies and encouraging the creation of research that can be further advanced to generate positive impact on society in the future.
