On July 22, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the 2026 Graduate Student Orientation Program and Networking Session for newly admitted students from the following graduate programs: the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Science, the Master of Science Program in Computer Science, the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and the Master of Science Program in Game Technology and Gamification. The event featured a welcome address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs. In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, provided an overview of the graduate programs, including their curriculum structures and academic pathways. The orientation was held at Bits & Bytes Hall on the 4th floor of the ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, and was also conducted online via Google Meet.
Following the welcome session, the chairs of the four graduate programs introduced their respective programs and provided the new students with an opportunity to ask questions about teaching and learning activities. The program introductions were delivered by:
- Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Science
- Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Computer Science
- Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance
- Prof. Dr. Mores Prachyabrued, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Game Technology and Gamification
The event concluded with the “Meet & Greet: Alumni Talk” session, moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs. The session featured Mr. Noppachanin Kongsathitporn, a student in the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Science and an alumnus of the Master of Science Program in Computer Science, as well as Mr. Pongpisit Laosuwanwat, an alumnus of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. During the session, the alumni shared their experiences of graduate studies and student life at Mahidol University with the new graduate students.
The 2026 Graduate Student Orientation Program and Networking Session for Graduate Students and Faculty Members aimed to strengthen connections and foster positive relationships among newly admitted graduate students, faculty members from the respective programs, and graduate education staff. The activities were also designed to help participants become familiar with one another, encourage knowledge exchange and collaboration, and enhance the graduate learning environment in support of students’ academic achievement and success.
