On June 27, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a workshop entitled “Android Forensics for Beginners” for Mahidol University students, staff members, and members of the public. The workshop was held at Room IT103, 1st Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. The workshop featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, Instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, as speakers. They shared knowledge and provided hands-on experience in Android digital forensics, ranging from fundamental concepts to practical applications. The workshop also equipped participants with valuable skills that can be further developed and applied in the fields of cybersecurity and digital forensics.
The “Android Forensics for Beginners” workshop was designed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in Android digital forensics. The program introduced participants to key concepts in digital forensics, Android architecture, system structures, and data storage methods. Furthermore, the course addressed advanced techniques for acquiring digital evidence from Android devices, as well as the use of specialized forensic tools for data inspection and analysis. The course also featured hands-on workshops that enabled participants to develop systematic skills in searching, analyzing, and managing digital evidence. These competencies provide an important foundation for participants to further develop their expertise and pursue future opportunities in cybersecurity and digital forensics.
