On June 20, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a workshop entitled “Creating Stunning Images with AI: Stable Diffusion for Beginners” for high school and university students, as well as members of the public interested in learning how to use AI for image generation, with no prior experience required. The workshop was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rawesak Tanawongsuwan, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, who introduced participants to the fundamentals of Generative AI and Text-to-Image technology. Participants also learned prompt engineering techniques and how to use Stable Diffusion to effectively create AI-generated digital artwork. The workshop was held in Room IT103, 1st Floor of the ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in Generative AI and Text-to-Image technology through the use of Stable Diffusion. Participants explored the concepts and underlying principles of AI-powered image generation while developing systematic prompt-writing skills to achieve desired results. In addition, they gained hands-on experience with Stable Diffusion and the image generation process, including prompt refinement and output evaluation. These activities helped participants develop practical skills in AI-driven digital image creation and apply them effectively in real-world contexts.
