On February 17, 2026, the AI Club of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized “Workshop #2: Introduction to Deep Learning and Image Processing.” The activity was attended by first- and second-year students from the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) at the Computer Laboratory 104, 1st floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The workshop was officially opened by Mr. Eakbodin Kanjanamuengtong, a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and President of the AI Club, who introduced the fundamental concepts and key principles of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to image data. The secession covered essential foundations in deep learning and image processing, along with examples of deep-learning applications in image-based analysis. The workshop also featured Mr. Sippakorn Kanin, a third-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), as a co-speaker.
The “Workshop #2: Introduction to Deep Learning and Image Processing” was organized as a continuation of “Workshop #1: Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs),” held on January 27, 2026. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ essential knowledge by bridging concepts from Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to structured applications of deep learning in image processing.
