From September 14 – 16, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group and member of the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA) at ICT Mahidol, together with Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resource; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Science, and Head of the Medical Informatics Research Clusters (MI) and Machine Vision and Information Transfer Research Lab (MVIT); Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta, Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap, Dr. Kanoksak Wattanachote, and Dr. Suradej Intagorn, instructors in the Computer Science Academic Group; and Miss Lapatrada Dangsungnoen, Master’s Student (Computer Science Program), welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeradaj Racharak and Dr. Watanee Jearanaiwongkul from Tohoku University, Japan, on the occasion of their visit to ICT Mahidol for discussions on research and academic collaboration. The visit took place at the Mahidol-AIST Research Unit (MARU Lab) and the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU Lab), Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
During the visit, faculty members from Tohoku University engaged in discussions with ICT Mahidol faculty members, undergraduate students, and master’s students to exchange knowledge, perspectives, and research interests. The discussions also explored potential research topics and areas of mutual interest that could be further developed through future joint initiatives.
The visit provided another valuable opportunity to strengthen academic ties between ICT Mahidol and Tohoku University, while promoting knowledge exchange and further expanding their international research collaboration network.
