ICT Mahidol Welcomed Delegation from Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT), Japan, for Research Collaboration Discussions

On September 14 – 15, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, Dr. Kanthanet Tharot, Dr. Peter Scully, and Dr. Atthapan Daramas, instructors in the Computer Science Academic Group, welcomed Prof. Shigeru Kashihara from the Department of Real World Computing, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT), Japan. The objective of this visit was to strengthen academic and research ties between the two institutions through discussions on potential research collaboration, knowledge exchange, and future joint initiatives, while identifying areas of mutual interest for further cooperation.

As part of the visit, Prof. Shigeru Kashihara met with ICT Mahidol faculty members and internship students at the Mahidol–AIST Research Unit (MARU Lab), where they exchanged ideas and discussed research-related topics and potential opportunities for collaboration.

The visit marked another important opportunity to strengthen academic ties between ICT Mahidol and Osaka Institute of Technology while fostering connections among faculty members and students. These connections will serve as a foundation for the further development of international collaboration in education and research.
