ICT Mahidol Underwent MU AUN-QA Assessment 4.0 for the M.Sc. Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance

On August 7 and 14, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), underwent a quality assessment of its Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance in accordance with the AUN-QA criteria (MU AUN-QA Assessment 4.0). The assessment was conducted in a hybrid format, both on-site at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, and online via Zoom.

On August 7, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance; Dr. Assadarat Khurat, Assistant Dean for Risk Management and Cybersecurity and Secretary of the Program; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, Program Committee Member, welcomed the AUN-QA assessment committee. The program representatives also presented information on the program’s administration and teaching and learning management. The assessment activities were held in Room IT404, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, and online.

The assessment was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittisak Yokthongwattana from the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, who served as the lead assessor, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Poomiwat Phadungbut from the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, who served as an assessor. As part of the assessment process, the committee exchanged views with various stakeholder groups, including academic staff, support staff, current students, alumni, and employers. The committee also visited the Faculty’s facilities and learning support resources and provided recommendations for further enhancing program administration, teaching and learning processes, and student learning outcomes in alignment with international standards of educational quality.

On August 14, 2026, the assessment committee presented a summary of the results and provided recommendations for further improvement. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, and members of the Program Committee, attended the session in Room A1, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, as well as online via Zoom.

The MU AUN-QA Assessment 4.0 is Mahidol University’s quality assurance framework for academic programs, developed based on the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and aligned with the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) framework. It evaluates academic programs across eight key criteria: Expected Learning Outcomes, Program Structure and Content, Teaching and Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff, Student Support Services, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Program Output and Outcomes. The assessment serves as an important mechanism for driving the continuous improvement of academic quality and strengthening the University’s quality assurance system. It also reflects ICT Mahidol’s commitment to producing highly qualified graduates and researchers in computer science who possess advanced knowledge, strong research capabilities, and the innovative skills required to conduct impactful research and develop technological innovations that address the evolving needs of society and the global technology landscape.
