On July 31, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the 2026 ICT Mahidol Short Course titled “Introduction to Database System Design and Development.” The course was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, who introduced participants to the fundamental concepts of database system design and development. Participants learned about the importance of data in the digital era and the step-by-step process involved in designing a database system. Through hands-on activities, they gained practical experience in creating and managing a basic database, enabling them to apply their knowledge effectively in their studies and future careers. The program was attended by more than 50 upper secondary school students and took place in Computer Laboratory IT103, 1st Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The short course was designed to provide upper secondary school students with an opportunity to explore the Faculty of ICT’s teaching and learning approaches, experience a university learning environment firsthand, and enhance their knowledge and practical technology skills through hands-on learning.
