On October 17, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the hands-on training program “AI Image Creation Bootcamp: Creating Images with Local AI: Stable Diffusion – Creative Control.” The training was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rawesak Tanawongsuwan, a faculty member of the Computer Science Academic Group, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, who shared his expertise and led practical sessions on AI-powered image generation and creative control. The program was designed for participants with prior experience in AI image generation or Stable Diffusion, with the aim of advancing their skills from basic image generation to more precise and systematic control and customization of image elements. The training was held at Computer Laboratory IT105, 1st Floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The “AI Image Creation Bootcamp: Creating Images with Local AI: Stable Diffusion – Creative Control” focused on enhancing participants’ skills in using Local AI and Stable Diffusion for more advanced image creation and editing. Participants gained hands-on experience with ControlNet for controlling poses and image composition, IP-Adapter for guiding image generation using reference images, Inpainting for modifying specific areas of an image, and Outpainting for extending scenes and image boundaries. They also learned to use Regional Prompter to control different elements within a single image and ReActor to modify faces or maintain consistent facial identity. In addition, participants practiced controlling character poses, defining faces and scenes, adjusting the style and atmosphere of environments, and modifying clothing and other specific image details. These techniques enabled participants to create images with greater stylistic and identity consistency while achieving results that more closely aligned with their concepts and intended purposes. The knowledge and skills gained from the training can be effectively applied to design, public relations, media production, and a wide range of creative work.
