From March 19–20, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “ICT Summer Camp” virtually via the Zoom Meeting platform for approximately 30 students from the Yunnan Around Asia International Education Center (YAAE), People’s Republic of China, who are interested in pursuing their studies at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The “ICT Summer Camp” was organized to provide international students with an opportunity to experience the teaching and learning environment at the Faculty of ICT, while also strengthening essential foundational knowledge required for further study in Information and Communication Technology, particularly in English, Mathematics, and Computer skills. In addition, the program aimed to identify and select students who demonstrate strong potential and readiness for higher education, while preparing them to become future students of the Faculty of ICT. The instructional activities were organized into three subject areas, as follows:
- On March 19, 2026, the English session titled “Level Up with English” was delivered by Mr. Stephen Edward Smith, International Student Recruitment and Alumni Engagement Manager and English instructor. This was followed by the Mathematics session “Sets, Functions and Probability,” conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitivatr Patanasakpinyo, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group.
- On March 20, 2026, the Computer sessions included “Fundamental Computer,” instructed by Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, and “Basic Computer Knowledge,” delivered by Miss Kanrawi Kitkhachonkunlaphat, Computer Technical Officer from the Information and Systems Division.
After the conclusion of the program, students will take a Placement Test scheduled for March 30, 2026, to evaluate their academic progress and support the selection process for prospective admission to the Faculty of ICT.
The program provided a meaningful opportunity to further strengthen academic collaboration between the Faculty of ICT and its partner institutions abroad. In addition, it enabled students to gain valuable insights into the Faculty’s academic offerings, thereby expanding future educational opportunities and fostering the development of globally competent youth.
