The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), extends its sincere congratulations to two student teams from the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group who served as their project advisor, on winning First Prize and Second Runner-Up in the AI Innovation for Disability Competition. The competition attracted more than 90 teams from across the country.
The competition was held as part of the Training Program on Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Developing Innovations for Persons with Disabilities, with projects categorized into five disability areas. The National Final Round was held on September 12–13, 2026, at the Royal River Hotel in Bangkok. The two ICT Mahidol student teams that received awards are as follows:
- First Prize, receiving a prize of THB 60,000: Team PhysioAI – Fourth-year students, ICT International Program

- Miss Nichakan Ninhusrungsri
- Second Runner-Up Award, receiving a prize of THB 15,000: Team AiSee – Fourth-year students, DST Thai Program
- Miss Punyawee Sornpanya

- Miss Natnicha Malailoy
The AI Innovation for Disability Competition was organized by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in collaboration with the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for Public Interest (BTFP) and Mahidol University. The competition was held as part of the Training Program on Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Developing Innovations for Persons with Disabilities, with projects categorized into five disability areas: visual impairment; hearing or communication impairment; mobility or physical impairment; mental or behavioral impairment; and intellectual or cognitive impairment, including intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder.
The program aimed to provide young people from across the country with equal opportunities to apply technology and artificial intelligence to create innovative solutions. Furthermore, it promoted the development of practical approaches and technologies aimed at tangibly improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
