On March 18, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led exchange students from Osaka Institute of Technology and Tokyo City University, Japan, on a cultural study visit to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
During the visit, the students explored several historical landmarks, including Wat Mahathat, renowned for the Buddha head entwined in tree roots; Wat Ratchaburana, an important temple from the Ayutthaya period; and Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, a historic and highly revered temple among both Thai people and international visitors. In addition, the exchange students experienced Thai local life through a visit to Ayothaya Floating Market and participated in an elephant riding activity at Ayutthaya Elephant Palace, gaining a closer appreciation of Thailand’s unique cultural identity.
This activity aimed to enhance understanding of Thai arts and culture, strengthen international student relationships, and provide meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom, contributing to the development of social and intercultural communication skills in a global context.
