On September 24, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty, together with executives, faculty members, and staff, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony to pay homage to His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, in commemoration of “Mahidol Day 2026.” The ceremony was held at the Prince Mahidol Monument, Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
On the same occasion, ICT Mahidol executives, faculty members, and staff also paid homage and laid wreaths in commemoration of “Mahidol Day” at the monuments of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, at two additional locations: the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, and Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. The ceremonies were held to express gratitude and to commemorate His Royal Highness’s immeasurable benevolence and contributions.
“Mahidol Day” is observed annually on September 24, marking the anniversary of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father. Through his significant contributions, His Royal Highness laid an important foundation for the advancement of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. Each year, medical and public health professionals and institutions pay tribute to His Royal Highness and commemorate his royal benevolence. He was bestowed the honorary title of “Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand” in recognition of his enduring contributions to the country’s medical and public health development.
