On August 8, 2026, upper-year students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized “Welcome Freshy 2026” to welcome newly enrolled students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The opening ceremony was led by Miss Thanita Thitakan, a second-year student in the DST Thai Program and a member of the ICT Student Association for the Academic Year 2026, together with Mr. Tanut Noumanong, a second-year student in the DST Thai Program. Recreational activities were facilitated by Miss Kotchapond Chaingka, Miss Natkrita Jongdee, and Miss Pitchayapak Visamol, second-year students in the ICT International Program, who fostered a fun and friendly atmosphere, allowing the new students to get to know one another and feel welcomed into the ICT community. The event was held at the ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The “Welcome Freshy” event was organized to foster strong connections between upper-year and new students while providing opportunities for first-year students from both academic programs to get to know one another, build friendships, and expand their networks through a variety of recreational activities. Throughout the event, upper-year ICT students guided and supported the new students, sharing their academic experiences and offering practical advice on studying and university life. The event aimed to help first-year students adjust to university life with confidence and become valued members of the ICT Mahidol community.
